The Burnie Harness Celebrity Race entertained the crowds – The Advocate

news, local-news,

It was a quick race for Coastal celebrities who took the place of horses at the Burnie Harness on Friday night. Melissa Maine and Natalee Emery from the harness industry were the clear winners with Burnie City Council mayor Steve Kons and deputy mayor Giovanna Simpson following them for second place. There were no stacks, which may have been disappointing for spectators but i’m sure all celebrities were pleased to stay on two feet. A late swap out of a child for an adult in the carriage towing section disadvantaged the Liberal team of deputy premier Jeremy Rockliff and Braddon candidate Gavin Pearce.
