They were a divisive act when they appeared on The X Factor back in 2009.
And, Eurovision Song Contest stars, Jedward, found themselves with the same response as they appeared on Pointless Celebrities earlier this evening.
The Irish popstars brought their usual brand of excitement and unpredictability as they appeared on the Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman-fronted show.
Although they performed relatively well and got to the final round, it seems some viewers couldn’t stick around to watch them succeed.
Fans flocked to Twitter to comment on the cheeky duo and it appears they had a seriously mixed response.
One wrote: “I love #pointlesscelebrities but not wanting to be rude but Jedward are really getting on my nerves. Had to switch off.”
A second fumed: “Have to turn off #pointlesscelebrities #jedward.”
Another raged: “#pointlesscelebrities one way to make sure you have zero viewers. Muting Jedward was not enough, switched off.”
However, others were happy to see the Celebrity Big Brother contestants appear on the special edition of Pointless.
A fan said: “Jedward, I love you; that is all.”
Another gushed: “Lovely to see my faves #Jedward @JepicHQ on @TVsPointless #pointlesscelebrities.”
A third posted: “@JepicHQ watching u on pointless celebrities you’re too cute.”(sic)
Even Richard himself posted about the pair, sharing a rather amusing comment to his 715,000 Twitter followers.
He laughed: “This episode of #PointlessCelebrities is an absolute testament to the art of editors. #Jedward #LongRecording.”
Last week on the show, Michael Ball teased the competition was a “fix” as both Vanessa Feltz and Craig Charles had been on Pointless before.
Fans of the show will remember Craig making it through to the jackpot round – not only that, Vanessa has previously won the jackpot.
Richard said: “Now, the most competitive show we’ve ever had was the Radio 1 special because they all worked in the same building next to each other.
“Now, I suspect we might see something similar on today’s show.
“I should point out though, competitive though it may be, podium two is going to be difficult to beat.
“Vanessa and Craig have both been on the show before and have both got through to the jackpot round. Vanessa’s won the jackpot as well.”
Michael then shouted: “Fix!”
Richard added: “They are going to be pretty strong, I think.”
Pointless Celebrities continues next Saturday on BBC One at 7.30pm.
